Partnership in Equality (PIE) for UK-Pakistan Women in Robotics & AI
Partnership in Equality (PIE) aims to bridge the gender gap in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (RAI) by empowering women from the UK and Pakistan to pursue careers in these fields. We strive to create a collaborative, inclusive ecosystem that fosters innovation, knowledge sharing, and mutual growth.
Objectives
- Development and delivery of workshop training to female faculty members at six women-only Universities and two mixed-gender university across the different provinces in Pakistan in robotics and artificial intelligence
- Facilitate a placement scheme for one female student at Cardiff Metropolitan University
- Launch of the UK-Pakistan (PK) Women in Robotics and AI Network and mentorship programme
Key Activities
Workshops and Training: Organize workshops, webinars, and training sessions on RAI topics, focusing on women’s participation.
Mentorship Program: Pair women in RAI with experienced mentors from the UK and Pakistan for guidance and support.
Research Collaborations: Facilitate joint research projects, publications, and presentations between UK and Pakistani researchers.
Networking Events: Host networking events, conferences, and meetups to connect women in RAI from both countries.

Women in RAI: Female students, researchers, professionals, and entrepreneurs working in or interested in Robotics and AI.
UK and Pakistani Institutions: Universities, research centers, organizations, and companies from both countries interested in RAI and women’s empowerment.
