Dr. Muwahida Liaquat (NLS FGI) received her BE Computer Engineering, ME Electrical Engineering in 2004 and 2006 respectively. She received Ph. D Electrical Engineering degree with specialization in signal processing and control systems from National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan in 2013. Following her PhD, she worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Engineering, NUST College of E&ME, Pakistan. She has also worked at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation, School of Electrical Engineering, Aalto University, as a Post Doc Researcher. Her research was focused on development of the control algorithms for smart transportation systems using distributed particle filtering. Dr. Liaquat is now working as a senior research scientist at the Department of Navigation and Positioning, Finish Geospatial Research Institute, National Land Survey of Finland, and is also affiliated with NUST, Pakistan. Her research focuses on various aspects of multi-tier GNSS and LEO-PNT receiver design, GNSS vulnerabilities identification, mitigation, and sensor fusion algorithms. She is an advocate of supporting women in STEM and has been actively involved in multiple forums to promote this activity.
