Background
Dr. Nasreen Anjum is a distinguished academic and researcher in Computer Science, specializing in Cybersecurity, IoT, AI, and Computer Networks. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Portsmouth, UK, she brings over two decades of teaching, research, and mentorship experience.
Dr. Anjum completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science from King’s College London, with her research focusing on distributing video content over wireless networks using Device-to-Device (D2D) communication. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has led innovative curriculum development and teaching methodologies in cybersecurity, IoT, AI, and advanced computing topics.
Throughout her career, she has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and contributed to groundbreaking studies, such as IoT-based COVID-19 monitoring systems and secure cluster-based authentication for IoT devices. Dr. Anjum’s research contributions are widely recognized, with publications in high-impact journals and conferences, including IEEE Access and Computers, Materials & Continua.
In addition to her academic excellence, Dr. Anjum has successfully led international collaborations, including projects funded by the British Council and other organizations, investigating emerging bio-cyber risks in genomics and securing next-generation sequencing technologies.
