LCWU Hosts 2nd STEM Robotics & AI Workshop under Partnership in Equality (PIE)
Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), Lahore, proudly hosted the 2nd STEM Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop under the Partnership in Equality (PIE) initiative for UK-Pakistan Women in Robotics and AI. Funded by the British Council, this transformative three-day event, held in June 2024, aimed to empower women in the rapidly advancing fields of robotics and automation.
The workshop was a collaborative effort involving Cardiff Metropolitan University, Wales, UK, MCS, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, and LCWU, Lahore, underscoring international and inter-institutional synergy for STEM development.

Welcome Dinner & Musical Night
The event began with a vibrant welcome dinner and musical night hosted by the Worthy Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shagufta Ijaz, Dean Faculty of Education Professor Dr. Uzma Quraishi, and focal person Dr. Sumera Sattar (Director Sports).
MOU Signing Ceremony
On the second day, a significant milestone was achieved with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between PIE NUST and LCWU at the VC Secretariat. The MOU, signed by the LCWU Vice Chancellor and Dr. Farkhanda Afzal from NUST, emphasizes strengthening the partnership to promote STEM, robotics, and AI through collaborative projects and joint supervision. Ms. Warda Dar from the British Council graced the ceremony, further solidifying the international collaboration.
