The PIE team has once again demonstrated their commitment to empowering women in STEM by extending their support not only to university students but also to college staff and young girls. In this spirit, an engaging STEM Robotics & AI workshop was recently held at Government Associate College for Women, Chung Lahore.

Organized under the British Council’s Gender Equality Partnership, the workshop provided an opportunity for participants from diverse backgrounds to gain hands-on experience and advanced knowledge in robotics and artificial intelligence. The PIE team, comprising Dr. Shadan Khan Khattak, Dr. Sia Chow Siing, Dr. Farkhanda Afzal, and Ms. Uzma Ehsan, led the full-day session with enthusiasm and expertise. Ms Warda Dar from British Council accompanied PIE team at this event too.

The workshop saw active participation from approximately 50 attendees, including faculty members and students from diverse backgrounds. They enthusiastically explored program-based robotics and gained practical experience working with robots. The college Principal Dr Nyla Anjum also attended the entire session, commending the PIE team and Focal Person, Mrs. Fozia Tabassum Cheema, for their efforts in organizing such a transformative initiative.
