Partnership in Equality (PIE) Kicks Off Workshops for Women in Robotics and AI

The Partnership in Equality (PIE) for UK-Pakistan Women in Robotics and AI is thrilled to announce the launch of its workshop series under the British Council Gender Equality Partnerships. The inaugural workshop was successfully conducted on June 6, 2024, at Rawalpindi Women University, 6th Road, Rawalpindi. This workshop, organized in collaboration with Cardiff Metropolitan University (Wales, UK), Military College of Signals (NUST, Islamabad), and Rawalpindi Women University, was designed to empower women in the rapidly advancing fields of STEM, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI). The event commenced with a warm welcome by:

Workshop Highlights:

The event concluded with a heartfelt acknowledgment from Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Anila Kamal, who presented shields and souvenirs to guests, appreciating the combined efforts of Cardiff Met, NUST, and the British Council.

In a symbolic gesture to commemorate World Environment Day, Dr. Sia, Dr. Shadan, Dr. Farkhanda, and the Vice Chancellor planted a tree on the university grounds.

This workshop marks the beginning of an inspiring journey to foster women’s empowerment in STEM, setting a strong foundation for future growth and innovation.
